Caroline Poynton

Caroline Poynton is a business journalist and editor with over ten years’ experience working across a range of media. She offers clients a wide range of editorial services, with an emphasis on always delivering engaging and precise content within frequently tight deadlines.

For six years, she worked for Ark Group as editor of legal management title Managing Partner, before becoming the Group’s editorial team leader and then publisher. During that time, she was responsible for several titles and a growing editorial team.

In 2007, she left Ark Group to launch her own freelance business, Sailfish Media. As a freelancer, Caroline has edited several titles, including Ark Group’s FD Legal and the KermaPartners Quarterly , published by legal strategy consultants KermaPartners. She has also written several in-depth reports, including ‘Business critical knowledge management’, ‘Business continuity planning for law firms’ and ‘Managing the evolution of libraries and information services’. Although Caroline has significant experience in the legal sector, she has also used the freelance opportunity to broaden her horizons. She is a regular contributor to leading corporate communications magazine, CorpComms, and has worked for a variety of ‘non-legal’ clients, including insurance and financial comparison website BeatThatQuote.com and design consultancy Fitch.

For the past two years, Caroline has also supported legal consultancy KermaPartners in its ongoing communications initiatives, including developing its website, providing online and offline editorial services, coordinating and managing survey distribution and analysis, and frequently writing press releases/marketing copy.
